Jason Cole

Jason Cole is a Managing Director and Head of Public Policy at Future Standard, where he leads the firm’s public policy and government affairs strategy across federal, state and local levels. He brings extensive experience in policy development and advocacy, strategic communications, media relations, and political, issue‑based, and brand campaigns.

Before joining Future Standard, Mr. Cole spent more than a decade in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving first as a legislative director and later as chief of staff for two Members of Congress on the House Financial Services Committee.

In addition to his work on Capitol Hill, Mr. Cole led federal government relations at MetLife and served as an Executive Director in UBS’ U.S. Office of Public Policy where he shaped each  firm’s position on financial services, tax and retirement policies. He also  provided regular insights to investors about the intersection of policy and politics. Mr. Cole also served as Associate Vice President of University Relations at Cornell University, where he led the university’s government and  community relations, communications, and media relations efforts.

Mr. Cole received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Syracuse University.
