Stephen Sloan

Stephen Sloan is a Managing Director and Global Head of Secondaries at Future Standard. Mr. Sloan joined the firm in 2020 and has been working in the private markets since 2000.
Prior to joining Future Standard, Mr. Sloan was the Global Head of Greenhill’s capital advisory group and a member of Greenhill’s management committee. Before that, he co-founded Cogent Partners in 2002, serving as the Managing Partner until the firm’s sale to Greenhill in 2015. Earlier in his career, he worked at Goldman Sachs in the structured products and international finance groups.
He holds a BS from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University, and both an MA and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Sloan serves on the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) and as Chairman of the National Advisory Council for the Marriott School of Business, Brigham Young University.
